Nuevas maneras de usar un vestido

A veces quisiera vivir en un país de cuatro estaciones para experimentar un poco más con la vestimenta, pero luego recuerdo que en Venezuela tenemos un clima maravilloso todo el año y se me pasa! Y es ahí cuando digo que para aprovechar la ropa que tenemos en nuestros clósets (y hacerla ver como si fuera nueva todo el tiempo) sólo hay que jugar un poco con la imaginación, porque no hay duda de que una pieza la mayoría de las veces resulta tan versátil que puede ser usada de varias maneras.

Sometimes, I wish I could live in a country with a four seasons climate to experiment a little bit more with clothing, but then I remember that here in Venezuela we have an incredible weather all year long and that idea disappears! That´s the moment when I say that we need to take advantage of each piece we have in our wardrobes (to make them look as new ones) and play with them using the imagination, because there is no doubt that most of the time an item can be so versatile that we can wear it in different ways.

Hoy vengo a hablarles del vestido, esa prenda que a veces dejamos guardada en el armario porque seguramente encontramos más practicidad en los pantalones para vestirnos a diario, verdad? Pero es tan femenino que tenemos que aprovecharlo al máximo! La manera más básica de usarlo es solo, con un par de tacones y accesorios. Pero conozco muchas chicas que por temor a no tener ese bronceado precioso en las piernas o por encontrarse con escaleras en la oficina que deben subir y bajar con frecuencia se cohíben de ponérselo. Una solución es llevarlo como top con pantalones debajo. De esta forma tendrás la comodidad y seguridad que necesitas para sentarte y caminar sin problemas.

Today I´m here to talk about dresses, those garments that occasionally we leave inside the closet because it´s more practical and safe to wear pants instead, right? But they are so feminine that is a must for us to show how girly we can be! The most basic form to attire it is alone, with accessories and high heels. But I know a lot of girls that feel insecure with them, due to the fact they don´t have a perfect tanned skin or since stairs are present in their offices. A solution is wearing it as a top putting a pair of pants below. This way you¨ll have the necessary comfort to sit and walk without problems.

Otra idea es hacer un look creando capas, colocándolo a manera de kimono sobre otras piezas que lleves debajo. Es una opción bastante fresca que te permitirá retirarlo cuando el calor empiece a hacerse más fuerte o permanecer cubierta si así lo deseas. Another idea is to create an outfit with layers, dressing it as a kimono over other pieces you put under it. This is a fresh opion that allows you to take it off when the temperature begins to be stronger, or keep it if you want to look more formal. Otra alternativa es usar tu vestido de manera tradicional (cerrado) y agregarle un chaleco o una chaqueta si quieres lucir más formal. Como ven, las posibilidades son infinitas! Dependerá de tu creatividad y de tus ganas de experimentar para ganarle a esa creencia de que únicamente podemos llevar el vestido de una sola forma.

Other choice is to dress it in the traditional form (closed) and add a vest or jacket if you want to look fashionable. As you can see, possibilities are endless! They will depend of your creativity to overcome that belief we can only wear it in an unique way.
