Cómo vestir para un día de diligencias?

Las diligencias son parte de nuestro día a día, o no?

Errands are an important part in our daily schedule, right?

Independientemente de nuestro rol en la sociedad, somos mujeres con responsabilidades. Las más jóvenes estudian y trabajan, van a la farmacia y al mercado. Las madres como yo puede que aún estudiemos también, pero además hacemos todo lo anterior y tenemos que agregar que pagamos los servicios, llevamos a los niños al colegio, vamos a la librería por útiles escolares, a la panadería a comprar lo que falte, en fin! Estamos repletas de actividades que nos convierten en chicas "multitasking" andando muchas veces de carrera y para eso se requiere mucha energía. 

Esa misma energía empieza justamente en el look, porque hay que tener estilo incluso hasta para atender prontamente nuestros quehaceres. Una manera de esforzarte a estar presentable es imaginar a quién puedes conseguirte en la calle mientras estás en eso, porque todas estamos expuestas a diario! Si eres profesora puedes conseguirte a tus alumnos (y a sus representantes), si trabajas en una oficina puede que te consigas a tu jefe, tu ex-novio seguramente ande con su nueva novia en el supermercado, una maliciosa chica del gimnasio probablemente esté en la misma cola de la panadería, en la farmacia quizás coincidas con tu apuesto vecino y así!  Por eso siempre tenemos que tener un plan. Aún cuando estemos cortas de tiempo debemos tomarnos unos minutos para escoger lo que vayamos a vestir teniendo en mente que debe ser simple, funcional y cómodo, agregando uno que otro accesorio que nos de el toque final y nos haga lucir arregladas, sin importar que vayamos a pie o en nuestro propio carro. 

Hoy les traigo dos propuestas, ambas con calzado plano y telas resistentes, perfectas para el trajín diario, pero igual de confortables y glamorosas para que escojan cual les agrada más.

Regardless of our role in the society, we have responsibilities. Younger women study and work, go to the market and the drugsore. Mothers like me maybe are students too, but we do exactly the same as the juvenile ones and besides, we pay the bills, take the children to school, go to the bookstore to buy play dough and cardboard, visit the bakery to get some bread and the list goes on and on! We are full of activities that transform us into multitasking girls who sometimes run against the clock, and that requires a lot of energy.

Precisely, that power begins in the look, because we can´t lose style when going errands. A way to make an effort and be presentable is wondering all the people you can meet while doing them. For example, if you are a teacher, your students could be in the same place. If you work in an office, probably your boss be around. Your ex boyfriend maybe will be with his new girlfriend behind you in the line of the supermarket. That handsome neighbor that lives on the sixth floor might be at the drugstore...Those endless possibilities are the reasons why we must have a plan. Although time doesn´t go in our favor, it is mandatory to take some minutes to think in the outfit, having in mind it has to be simple, functional, comfortable and allow us to add various accessories to give that final touch that make us be sleek and neat. 

I bring you two ideas today, both with resistant fabrics and flat shoes, perfect for everyday hustle and bustle, but comfy and glamorous. 

La primera, optando por algo tan básico como unos pantalones de denim y un par de zapatos deportivos clásicos, como estos fabulosos Converse que siempre serán los reyes de la moda urbana y de las guapas con personalidad. Estos tienen el poder de hacerte lucir relajada y chic, como si no hubieras pensado mucho en el outfit. El resto se ensambla con capas de ropa y detalles: un top de tirantes cubierto por una camisa manga corta de cuadros (removible por si el calor aumenta), el cinturón con monograma (que estuvo de moda hace tiempo pero como ya sabemos, las tendencias son cíclicas y ésta con los sellos y nombres de marcas está de vuelta), un par de lentes reflectivos y los complementos que gustes. Lleva lo que funcione para tí, lo que te quede bien y no te haga lucir como una persona desaliñada y recién levantada.

The first proposal consists in basics: denim pants and a couple of sporty shoes, like these amazing Converse that will always make you look like the queen of the street style. They have enough enthusiasm for a chic and relaxed appearance. The rest was done with layers and details: a sleeveless tank with a plaid shirt over it that I can remove if the temperature raises, the monogram belt (a trend that came back recently), reflective sunnies and discreet accessories that worked well with the outfit were sufficient complements to be great.

La segunda mantiene la misma idea de vestir con capas en la parte superior, pero en esta ocasión los tonos son más suaves y frescos. Hay perlas de colores pasteles como acompañantes en zarcillos y collar, un par de elegantes flats (conocidos también como bailarinas, que si bien no tienen el poder de unos tacones altos brindan la comodidad anhelada para caminar y moverse con agilidad durante el día) y falda de mezclilla, para no perder la coquetería mientras haces las compras. La pincelada juguetona está en el morral de flores, del tamaño justo para llevar lo necesario a cuestas.

The second one keeps the same idea of layering in the upper part of the body, but this time I wore fresh and soft colors. You can find pearls in earrings and necklace, fancy blue flats (it is true they don't have the power as high heels have but they give you comfort and the necessary agility to move during the day) and a denim skirt to mantain you flirty while you buy groceries. The playful hint of color was in the floral backpack, which had the right size to put inside the wallet, keys, cell phone and lipstick.

Si vives en una zona con clima frío, un sweater o un abrigo fantástico y una bufanda hermosa serán suficientes para la parte superior del look. Y para las que estamos en pleno trópico, cuénteme: con cuál de las dos propuestas se quedan?

If you live in a place with cold weather, a sweater or a fantastic coat and a beautiful scarf will be enough to cover up your body. And for those girls like me who live in the tropics, tell me: which one do you prefer?
