Empoderamiento y emprendimiento como estilo de vida

Muchas chicas y adultas contemporáneas no se han dado cuenta aún de que son en realidad súper mujeres. Quizás es por el corre-corre de la vida diaria, entre tantas ocupaciones que nos mantienen absortas que a veces hacen reventar las agendas. Yo siempre las veo, en carro o en transporte público, en zapatos planos pero llevando los tacones en la cartera, dependiendo del lugar y la reunión que tengan que hacer durante el día. Son esas que estudian en la universidad, después se van al trabajo y cuando termina la jornada corren al supermercado para luego llegar a casa a hacer quehaceres del hogar y la facultad. Las que son mamás como yo probablemente no estudien, pero seguro gerencian algún cargo importante. De igual manera hacemos todo lo anterior y aparte, nos sentamos a hacer tarea, jugamos con los niños y cumplimos con un largo sinfín de etcéteras. Con o sin pareja y quizás con alguna mascota, lo cierto es que en su mayoría tenemos la misma rutina donde a diario salimos victoriosas con las metas pautadas sin morir en el intento.

Many girls and contemporary female adults haven´t realized yet they are super women. Maybe is because we are running with our daily lives, among all the occupations that keep us engrossed, up to the point of bursting our agendas. I always see those women in their cars or in public transportation, wearing ballerinas but keeping their high heels inside the handbags, depending on the place and the meeting they are going to have during the day. They are the ones who study at university, then go to work and after finishing a work day, visit the supermarket to end later at home doing homework and housekeeping. Mothers like me probably don´t study, but we do the same and a little bit more, playing with our children and handcrafting for their school after arriving to our houses. Having a couple or not and perhaps with a pet, the truth is most of us have similar routines which are often finished in a successful way.

Pero, qué sucede cuando algo nos apasiona y no encontramos cómo hacer para poder ejecutar ese sueño que no nos deja dormir? Uno busca la manera y saca tiempo de donde no hay para tener todo bajo control, verdad? Pues este tema va dedicado a todas las personas que quieran incursionar en un nuevo proyecto, pero aplica también para todas aquellas chicas que quieran empezar en este mundo de la moda como fashion bloggers y no saben cómo prepararse para arrancar y dar ese primer paso. 

Con frecuencia me preguntan con fascinación y asombro: "Cómo haces para escribir y tener fotos para el blog y las redes sociales, si nunca te vemos en la calle y sin embargo andas en todas partes? Cuándo fue eso?" Lo cual me llena de orgullo y al mismo tiempo que me parece gracioso y halagador! El truco se resume a una sola palabra: organización.

- Anoto todo

Tengo tres agendas (si, tres! Una para el blog, otra para mis actividades personales y otra para mi trabajo) donde apunto las ideas y tareas pendientes. En el caso de la página web, también escribo los temas semanalmente. Si no hay un plan establecido al cual apegarse, es probable que a fin de mes hayas publicado un solo artículo porque el tiempo pasa volando! Plasma todo y revisa con frecuencia tus apuntes, ve tachando lo cumplido y lo que no se haya dado retómalo, porque esto de insistir aplica para cualquier emprendimiento.

But, what happens when we feel passionate about something and we don´t know how to accomplish that dream that keeps us awake? Undoubtedly, saving time to control that and also the rest of the activities is an important key. That´s today topic, dedicated to those people who want to dabble in a new project and also applies for those girls who would love to begin as fashion bloggers and don´t have a clue to give that first step.

Frequently people ask me with fascination and astonishment: "How do you do it, to compose and take pictures for the blog, if we never see you on the street and nevertheless, you appear everywhere?" That is something that makes me feel proud and at the same time it is funny and flattering. The trick is summarired in one word: organization. 

- I draft and write everything

I own three agendas (yes, three! One for my personal issues, one for the blog and the third one for my job) where I take notes all the tasks and ideas. With this website, writing the topics weekly works really well. Having a plan is perfect, because if we don´t do things that way is almost sure we only reach just one goal at the end of the month. Express yorself with notes and revise them regularly, put a checkmark on the topics you have executed and if you are still missing others, insist on them. Being persistent leads to great results.

- Me rodeo de gente que está en mi misma onda

Si nunca te has lanzado en una aventura similar, lo mejor es averiguar como puedes dar los primeros pasos con personas que hayan hecho lo mismo. En esta vida no se nace aprendido, así que siempre es útil hacer cursos, estudiar y/o conocer gente que te pueda guiar y servir como referencia.

Este espacio es mi segundo emprendimiento, el cual me ha llevado a estar en contacto con otras blogueras creativas pero también me ha juntado con diseñadores fabulosos, fotógrafos geniales y maquilladoras talentosas de quienes he aprendido un montón de cosas fascinantes!

- I keep myself surronded by people who do the same

If you have never decided to assume an adventure like this, it is better to figure out how to give those first steps talking to people who have already done a project like the one you have in mind. Also it is useful to take courses, study and meet entrepreneurs who can guide you as serve as a good reference.

This website is my second business venture, which has allowed me to be in touch with other creative bloggers and also with talented fashion designers, brilliant photographers and fabulous makeup artists who have taught me a lot of fascinating techniques! 

- Ofrezco calidad en vez de cantidad

En este proyecto en específico, donde me dedico a escribir de moda y sus tendencias, he podido ver que hay bloggers que se ocupan en redactar a diario, pues están enfocadas en sus páginas de internet a tiempo completo y lo hacen como su trabajo formal. Este no es mi caso, pero lo que empecé como un hobbie hace año y medio se ha vuelto más serio con el paso del tiempo y la receptividad ha sido tanta que los lectores siempre quieren ver más! Por eso hay que ser consecuente con los proyectos y fijarse objetivos. Teniendo presente que tengo una familia y un trabajo que atender, al iniciar la página web establecí el mío: publicar semanalmente para traerles contenido fresco y ameno sobre lo que está en boga, hablarles de estilo de vida y también de lugares por conocer teniendo tiempo suficiente para hacer todo lo demás.

- I offer quality instead of quantity

In this specific project where I write about fashion and trends, I could see there are other bloggers dedicated to compose every single day due to the fact that is their main job. This is not my case, but I must say this hobbie has become more serious with the pass of each month, and the receptivity has been so high that readers are always waiting and expecting to see new material! That´s why being consistent with plans and set real goals are relevant features. Having in mind I have a family to care and a formal job to attend, when I began this site I established mine: posting weekly to bring you fresh and enjoyable ideas regarding to fashion, lifestyle and great places to meet leaving enough time to do and balance my other activities.

- Pido ayuda!

No soy invencible. He tenido que hacer pausas por cosas de salud o por las lluvias que a veces impide hacer fotos durante el día planificado para ello. Cuando eso pasa, hay que reprogramar todo y tanto la familia como los amigos siempre han estado allí para darme una mano con mi hijo. También he tenido que dejar cosas organizadas con antelación en el trabajo para poder tener un día de permiso.

- Asking for help!

I´m not invincible. I have had to make pauses because of health problems or the bad weather (sometimes rainy days appear, impeding programmed photoshots). When any of these happens, there has to be a re-schedule and family and friends have been always there to help me with my son. I have also had to let work done at the office to allow me a day off. 

- Hay que ser práctica y premiarse

Para que todo fluya, ser realista y efectiva son claves. Por ejemplo, cada semana cuando me siento a escribir ocupo a mi hijo de tal manera de que yo tenga que distraerme con él lo menos posible para estar concentrada en lo que me gusta, y lo hago con placer porque me relajo totalmente. Una vez que he cubierto las metas del mes, me consiento con una salida para conocer un nuevo café y probar el menú, o me doy una escapada familiar a la playa o viajo. Esto me mantiene motivada y al mismo tiempo me permite seguir trabajando con una actitud positiva.

- Be practical and reward yourself

To go with the flow, the trick is to be realistic and effective. For example, every Sunday where I need to prepare a post, I mantain my son so busy that he can't distract me. That way I keep focused and completely relaxed while I finish my task. Once the monthly goals have been covered, planning a getaway, meeting a new café or going to the beach are one of those favorite activities that give me the necessary boost to stay working with a positive attitude.
