Cómo verse bien al andar en transporte público

Cuando tu medio de transporte son tus propios pies o el autobús, es bastante probable que te veas desaliñada y cansada al llegar a tu destino, sobre todo si el lugar donde vives se caracteriza por tener altas temperaturas y bastante humedad. Sin embargo, lucir bien es posible si tienes en cuenta algunos tips que te permitirán estar casual y glamorosa.

If your means of transportation are the bus or your own feet, is probably you look untidy and tired when you arrive to your destiny, especially if the place where you live has high temperatures and abundant humidity. However, having a good appearance is possible with the consideration of some tips that allow you to be casual and chic.

Primero que nada, elige ropa cómoda con telas frescas que te dejen estar presentable y al mismo tiempo caminar y moverte a buena velocidad. Los colores claros ayudan a no absorber el calor y los intermedios disimulan cualquier mancha que pueda presentarse en el camino.

First of all, choose comfortable clothes with fresh fabrics that let you be presentable and at the same time to walk and move with a good pace. Light colors help to avoid the heat absorption and intermediate hues conceal any stain you could have.

Usa una blusa o franela que no sea muy ajustada y lleva encima una camisa (o suéter, en caso de que el clima sea mas fresco, como el de Caracas) para que te proteja del sol o de la brisa. Para esta propuesta escogí este top de algodón en color lila y sobre él coloqué una pieza que está en tendencia: la camisa manga larga de cuadros. Es fantástica porque es tan versátil que me permite anudarla en la cintura cuando el calor se hace más fuerte.

Wear a loose blouse or tshirt and put over it a shirt (or a sweater in case the weather is cool) that protects you against the sun or breeze. I chose this cotton lilac top and above it I wore a trendy piece: a long sleeve plaid shirt. It´s fantastic, because is so versatile that I can tie it around my waist when the temperature begins to rise.

Los zapatos deportivos o bailarinas cerradas son indispensables, particularmente si el trayecto a recorrer es largo y el pavimento es irregular. También te benefician si la lluvia se presenta repentinamente o consigues algún charco que debas esquivar. Nunca uses zapatos nuevos! Cojear no es nada atractivo.

Tennis shoes or flats are mandatory, particularly if the route is really long and it has an irregular pavement. They are also beneficial when a sudden rain appears or whether you find a puddle you need to jump over. Never wear new shoes! To limp is completely unattractive.

Tengo la ventaja de llevar el cabello corto, pero si el tuyo es largo una cola de caballo o una trenza son buenas alternativas para mantenerlo peinado.

My hair is short but if you have it long, a pony tail or braids are good options to keep it in style.

Cuida tu piel. Recuerda aplicarte protector solar en el rostro antes de salir, usar lentes de sol y cargar una botella de agua pequeña para hidratarte en el camino. Si llevas contigo un paquetico de toallitas húmedas que te permitan refrescar el rostro, manos y cuello, mejor aún! Además de ésto, un paraguas es bastante útil, pero si quieres que tu cartera o morral esté liviano, una gorra es una buena elección también. Si te gusta maquillarte, opta por hacerlo de manera discreta. Usa un gloss en los labios y máscara de pestañas a prueba de agua. Confieso que sudo con facilidad, por lo que no me aplico polvos ni rubor pero si me toca hacerlo, antes de pintarme la cara rocío agua en spray para fijarlos bien.

Take care of your skin. Remember to apply sunscreen on your face, to use sunglasses and carry a little bottle with water to be hydrated. It´s also great to take with you wet wipes to refresh your features, neck and hands. Besides, having an umbrella is helpful but if you want to keep your bag weightless, a cap is a proper alternative too. If you love makeup, use it in a modest way (lip gloss and a bit of water proof mascara is enough). I confess I sweat easily. That´s why I don´t put on blush or powder but if I need to do it, I sprinkle water in first place to fix them well.

Por último, sonríe! Una buena actitud hará que tu recorrido sea mas llevadero.

And last but not least, smile! A good attitude will make your tour manageable.
